(HealthDay News) - Wearing a helmet during activities where head injury is possible is one of the most important things you can do to protect yourself. Head injuries can be serious and even life-threatening.
The National Safety Council says you should always wear a helmet when:
- Riding on an all-terrain vehicle or four-wheeler.
- Bicycling.
- Skateboarding or inline skating.
- Horseback riding.
- Playing baseball or softball.
- Playing football.
- Rock climbing.
