American Lung Association
The mission of the American Lung Association is to prevent lung disease and promote lung health. The association provides a fact sheet about lung cancer with optional E-newsletter registration and links to local chapters.

American Cancer Society
This nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization gives a comprehensive overview of lung cancer with a list of questions patients can ask their doctors. A companion site, clinicaltrials.cancer.org, offers a free clinical trial matching and referral service.

Medline Plus (National Library of Medicine)
The medical library site contains the latest information on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.

National Cancer Institute
From the National Institutes of Health, this site offers information for both the health professional and the patient. There are synopses of recent lung cancer clinical trial results, links to literature about lung cancer, information about methods of cancer detection and treatment, descriptions of NCI-supported research and funding opportunities, and special reports.

The Lung Cancer Alliance
This national non-profit organization is dedicated to patient support and advocacy for people living with lung cancer and those at risk for the disease. The site provides a guide to treatment options, a clinical trials matching service, resources for support, and much more.
