High-tech services
By Josh Fischman
The 2005 Most Wired Hospitals survey revealed several differences between those institutions and the typical U.S. hospital. First, wired hospitals tended to put more technology in the hands of patients, allowing them to find out more about their health. Second, wired hospitals made sure their technology was widely used by physicians. And third, they kept tabs on more patients using electronic alerts, tied into patients' records.
