They got it right with Dr. Michael Link at the Mayo Clinic. Guy is a genius.

I would like to find top international pain management doctors not doctors in U.S.A.It has been my experience that most doctors here seem to have limited listen skills as well as to repeat numouse test that have been run many times. We have found what works. We do have some of the best doctors in the world but seem to lean towards testing that is expensive and have been done.Would appreciate your help.Respectfuly Ms. Masterson

Based on my experiences with Dr. Abad, MD (VA Miami RO), I wouldn't use your rankings for anything, unless, of course, I wished to be treated like an animal. Maybe you think that illegally prescribing medication (Pfizer/federal case $2B) is good. It gave me diabetes, and a worsening of the very symptoms that needed to be addressed. He accomplished nothing but permanent harm!
I won't be needing your rankings unless I print them for toilet paper.

This system is flawed and the basic research is inadequate. For instance, one doctor is listed as a best doctor in gastroenterology in the LA area when he is actually an oncologist.

PLease let me know why Montefiore Hospital in Bronx, NYC has been ranked so low nationally. I have visited this hospital and know of some excellent doctors who have received training here and also know of some patients who have spoken very highly of patient care here. If possible, I request that you elevate this hospital's ranking and certainly remove this hospital from the worst hospital ranking.

Is there a location where I may find results of sucessful trials for IPF?

Do you check each doctor by available records ? Or are they selected only by
Another doctor? I can see where two different doctors could nominate each other that has nothing to do with them being quaified.
How do you deal with this problem ?

Your list carries someone as a top orthopedic surgeon working at Montefiore Hospital in Bronx, NYC which ranks among the worst hospitals ( rank 20 ) in the whole nation. Can someone explain this anomaly please.

US News does not seem to differentiate between a top doctor and the ONLY doctor in some areas. There may be only one doctor in an area but that does not mean they are good.

Castle Connolly and US New put patients at risk with this extremely flawed and fraudulent rating system. Jihad Kaouk of Cleveland Clinic ranked in the top 1% of urologists by US News, has multiple lawsuits filed against him for severe and devastating permanent surgical injuries, many life threatening, to many patients. He is NOT board certified and did not meet the minimum qualifications for a medical license in Iowa. Although he is at Cleveland Clinic which is ranked #2 (another questionable ranking) with radical prostatectomies "published positive outcomes" for all-comers of 88%, Jihad Kaouk stated to CMS investigators his positive outcomes were "ONE THIRD." Mr Connolly, would you allow Jihad Kaouk to do your surgery? You put your readers at great risk with such flawed information.
