Dr. Joehl was anything but a top doctor when I was his patient. Rude, mostly absent, smelling of alcohol during his mini appearances to "check" on me.

Run, don't walk away from Dr. Raymond Joehl. Crawl if you have to. It's clear he is miserable spreads it with everyone he encounters.

Could you organize the data according to states? It is impossible to look trough all the names to find a local doctor.

My child suffers from Epilepsy and mild CP. Her doctor is not listed as one of the top doctors but in my personal opinion, he should be. My Neurologist Dr. William McClintock at Children's National Medical Center in Fairfax, Virginia is an amazing doctor. He is a great listener upon our visits and has kept my child nearly seizure free for nearly eight years. I would recommend him highly.

Many unsuspecting patients have been permanently injured by Dr. Jihad Kaouk in the Urology department of Cleveland Clinic. Four CMS investigations have cited Cleveland Clinic for unsafe practices including lack of informed consent, operating room fires (not reported), injuries to patients in operating room fires not reported, lack of credentialing requirements and certification for staff and residents in the urology department. Cleveland Clinic now refuses to report infection rates and other data to outside organizations rating hospital safety. Here are recent articles:

I have seen doctors on your list which are so called top doctors. The system is biased as only doctors on the list are able to recommend others. You should look into pt satisfaction data. adherence to guidelines, mortality rate, rate of admission to hospitals or visits to ER. Just because some one is from Harvard and borne and raised in USA does not mean he is a top doctor.I can give you number of examples where doctors do not follow proper guidelines for managmenet of patients but are on list just they happen to know the right people.

I am glad to see so many negative comments here. I thought I was the only one. I will never again trust the US News "Best" lists after what I saw here. A physician working in the same hospital that I work is listed here. Within our hospital he is known as someone who puts his own financial goals ahead of the well being of the patient. He rarely if ever would decline to perform a treatment even when not in the best interest of the patient. He has been heard making comments about treating people because he has a Porche to pay for or to drum up business because there are empty CCU(Critical Care Unit) beds. I will never again trust these lists. Prior to finding this article I was considering reporting him to a State Medical Board of Ethics for review. And to see that he is listed here as a Best Doctor is very disappointing. I would much rather a physician who is more concerned with the holistic care of the patient than the reimbursement for the most advanced treatment. I think this physician is the epitome of the problems with "for profit/free market healthcare".

Being new in any area is a frightful thing when it comes to finding a good Doctor~~

I always try to look online to see what others think. I am now looking for a Dermatogist..Hopefully, I can find one of the best.
