Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard and lovely gardens, Emeritus at Barrington Court is conveniently located with easy access to I-680 north and south. Our cozy community with an urban touch is close to downtown Danville, a town rich in culture and entertainment with many interesting shops and restaurants. Hartz Plaza, Broadway Plaza, Danville Library and several community parks are within easy driving distance. Emeritus at Barrington Court is also close to several medical facilities, including San Ramon Hospital, John Muir Hospital, Kaiser Permanente and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.

Over the past decade our community has become well known in the area for our innovative approach to caring for seniors with Alzheimer's or Dementia — an approach we call "Join Their Journey®" The premise of Join Their Journey, which is based on research conducted on seniors with Alzheimer's Disease, is simple: We believe that seniors affected by memory disorders still have so much to contribute to life. So our goal is to create a nurturing environment and provide ongoing opportunities every day that allow them to live purposeful, successful lives despite their disease.

Toward this end, we create specially designed memory care neighborhoods that provide a personalized, familiar and secure setting tailored to each resident's unique needs. Within this environment, our highly trained staff joins residents in their moment, rather than trying to bring them into our reality. Through this approach, we recognize individuality, encourage choices and help residents maintain their dignity. We also work diligently to get to know each resident and his or her family, so that we can offer the right support for every stage of the disease process.
