Stamford Hospital is a 305-bed, not-for-profit hospital providing area residents (Fairfield and Westchester Counties) access to the latest technology with a compassionate, patient-centered care approach that puts our patients first. As a member of the Planetree Network, we are committed to patient-centered care. Stamford is a Level II trauma center with a nationally recognized adult intensive care unit. Our areas of expertise include cancer care, heart services, orthopedics, and women’s health.
Stamford Hospital is an affiliate of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and a major teaching affiliate of the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. Our nurses have achieved the esteemed Magnet status, the highest honor in nursing.
Stamford Hospital also offers area patients the latest outpatient services in one convenient location at the Tully Health Center. Services include: an Immediate Care Center for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries; the Health & Fitness Institute, an innovative wellness facility offering medically supervised fitness and lifestyle change; the Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness that blends conventional and complementary care for patients; the CyberKnife Center, the only hospital in Fairfield and Westchester Counties that offers technology to destroy tumors with pinpoint accuracy; the Women’s Breast Center, the only hospital in the state and first in the nation to receive accreditation from the American College of Surgeons for excellence in breast care; Cardiac Rehabilitation; Children’s Specialty Center; Endoscopy Center; Jaffe Diagnostic Imaging Center; and a Vaccine Center, among other services.

Cancer
The Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital provides compassionate, patient-centered care from diagnosis through treatment and post-treatment care. A multidisciplinary team of board-certified physicians, oncology nurses and radiation therapists offers advanced surgical, medical, and technological services in a warm, caring environment.
Heart & Vascular
In collaboration with New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System/Columbia University Medical Center, Stamford Hospital’s Heart & Vascular Institute provides world-class care conveniently located in lower Fairfield County. We offer the finest cardiac services including cardiac and vascular screening tests, preventive care, diagnostic services, a comprehensive open heart program, emergency and elective angioplasty, and rehabilitation services.
Orthopedics
Stamford Hospital's Orthopedic Institute provides comprehensive orthopedic and neurosurgery services, including programs designed to help prevent and treat injuries and conditions affecting bones, muscles, and joints. We provide for our patients' entire continuum of care, including prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. We have earned Joint Commission certification for the Total Hip and Total Knee programs, making ours the only Joint Commission-certified Joint Replacement program in Lower Fairfield and Westchester Counties.
Women’s Health
Recognizing that a woman’s life is multidimensional and complex, Stamford Hospital offers women access to top-notch physicians and the services that matter most: gynecologic care, pregnancy, health & wellness, minimally-invasive surgery, and specialized medical services such as breast care, cardiac care, and integrative medicine.

Center for Robotic Surgery
We give expert surgeons the newest technology—the da Vinci Surgical System—to perform surgery that is safer, has shorter recovery times, and offers a higher likelihood of success than regular open or conventional minimally invasive surgeries. -
Center for Sleep Medicine
We are experts in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders including snoring, sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and restless legs syndrome. In addition, we offer board-certified specialists trained in pediatric sleep medicine. -
CyberKnife Center
As the only CyberKnife Center in Fairfield and Westchester counties, we provide the very latest technology for cancer, especially patients with inoperable tumors. Treatment with CyberKnife is non-invasive—no incisions, no wounds, no scars. -
Center for Integrative Medicine & Wellness
We blend conventional and complementary medicine tailored to achieve a patient’s personal needs and goals. The center is a consultative service, working with a patient’s physicians to incorporate appropriate healing modalities into their care plan. -
Children's Specialty Center
We provide area parents access to top-notch pediatric specialists for their child’s specific needs close to home. -
Women's Breast Center
Our center is the first in the nation to be recognized as a National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, NAPBC-Accredited Center. We offer women a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to prevent, diagnose, and treat breast disease. -
Diabetes & Endocrine Center
Our center brings together comprehensive patient education, medical management, and treatment under one roof. The Diabetes Self-Management Education Program has received continued recognition from the American Diabetes Association. -
Wound Care Center
We provide comprehensive chronic wound treatment on an outpatient basis. Our center works closely with physicians to provide optimal conditions for healing wounds, offering the latest treatments available, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
