Wart Removers
Warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), of which there are more than 100 strains. HPV is contagious, so if you or someone you know has warts, be careful about touching or sharing items such as towels. Over-the-counter wart removers, which often contain salicylic acid and are applied directly to the wart, may help. Also see cold sore treatments.
