Aspirin—Heart Attack/ Stroke Prevention
Some people occasionally take aspirin for aches and pains. However, if you've had a heart attack or stroke, or if you're at risk for either, your doctor may recommend a daily aspirin regimen to prevent these attacks. Aspirin helps reduce the clumping of blood platelets that may block arteries. Other tools for heart health: blood pressure monitors and cholesterol testing.
