You’ve heard of P90X: the wildly popular, grueling series of workout DVDs. More than 3.5 million copies have been sold in the past seven years. Its a heart-pounding, 90-day routine, and it works by mixing elements of body-weight training, cardio, yoga, and martial arts. The standard P90X package costs around $120, and comes with 12 workout DVDs, a 100-page fitness guide, a nutrition plan, and a 90-day calendar to track your progress. Workouts are designed to create “muscle confusion,” keeping the body from adapting to the same exercise and preventing plateaus.
