Forget about Rocky Balboa. No raw eggs allowed. So no matter how enticing that cake batter looks, better wait to indulge in the final product. Raw eggs carry a risk, albeit a small one, of contamination with salmonella. Once you buy eggs, they’ll keep for about a month in your fridge.
