This photo released Aug. 4, 2008 by NASA shows the Phoenix Mars Lander's solar panel and the lander's Robotic Arm with a sample in the scoop on Mars. Despite the odds, NASA on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 will begin a three-day effort to listen for signs of life from the Phoenix lander, presumed frozen to death near Mars' north pole after spending five months digging into soil and ice.
The disorders were considered to be minor and may not interrupt a future manned mission to Mars.
