Shirley, I can relate. I had the shot 10 weeks ago and now have had shingles blisters in 17 places. Got the shot due to 23 sets of shingles in the past 20 years.

I am 69 years old at present and have had Herpes Zoster twice: once at age 59 or 60 (not sure which) and once at 65. I am in good health and appear to have a very healthy immune system.

The first episode at age 59 occurred on a right thoracic nerve; the second on a left cranial nerve (possibly the fifth). I have no idea why this viral reactivation occurred when it did. I have not been vaccinated for Zoster as I figure I've had it twice and there's no reason to believe that any "immunization" will be helpful to me.
