Did they compare the "screen time" (a useless term, given the range of screens - fixed and mobile - in today's world) group with a group that spent equal time in other physically inactive pursuits - reading, for example? I'm glad you noted that the link was a correlation and not causal (too many articles don't), but it's far too facile to blame screen time instead of inactivity of any sort.

An very interesting study. While it says that the study did not prove the cause and effect relationship between screen time and less cardiorespiratory fitness, it can help parents form a better media diet for the family.
