I was stage 4 at age 52 and underwent the exact treatment described here; weekly chemo, daily radiation, then surgery. 8 years NED. Only recently have I learned just how unusual my survival is.

If anyone has a late stage patient who needs a mentor I've been volunteering in this way for about 2 years. They can call Marc at 770-265-2551.

What about surgery followed by chemo and radiation? My Dad has it, but his tumor was small enough to remove first. He has completed radiation and has one more chemo round.
