My son was born May 2010, and was careflighted to Cooks. He was not breathing when he was born and was diagnosed and being watched for hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. He was put on the cooling therapy prior to leaving Denton at the request of Cooks doctors. I was told that my son would have some degree of brain damage and it was just a matter of how much.

He is now 28 months old and PERFECT. He is considered a miracle by his doc and mine. I fully believe that the cooling therapy he was put on was a HUGE part of healing him.

Thank you to Cooks Childrens for taking such good care of my baby boy.
