The best way to get people to get people to have a positive outlook on colonoscopies is to have them start with a sigmoidoscopy. Sure, the prep is a little better, but the test is one of the worst things I've ever experienced. At least with a colonoscopy you don't really feel anything. And, even if you wake up during the procedure, you're too dazed to be concerned beyond the interesting imagery on the screen, and a few kind words is often all that's necessary to help you back to sleep --- with a sigmoidoscopy, I needed help staying on the table.

It's been shown time and time again, whether you're trying to improve your overall health; struggle with fatigue or PMS; battling weight gain; trying to relieve constipation, bloating, and gas; hoping to ease indigestion, rid your body of toxins and parasites, or relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and diverticulitis, a colon cleanse is the place to start.
