CDC to baby boomers: Get tested for hepatitis C

Dorthyzee & Nancy both missed the point. The simple fact is: Testing for HEP C can save lives. Maybe YOURS!! I was diagnosed with the virus in 1997 when I wanted to bank my own blood for an upcoming spinal fusion. The prelimenary blood screen revealed the fact that I had HEP C. After the surgery I followed up with a visit to the Mayo Clinic & was refered to the Heptology Dept. at IU Hospital in Indianapolis IN. I was placed on a liver transplant list & was transplanted on 1-28-2003. I was by then very sick & only 6 months away from total liver failure. Had I not been diagnosed in 1997, I'm sure I would have been dead several years ago..... THIS TESTING WILL SAVE LIVES!! That's the bottom line..... Some people will always think that government is out to get them, and think they are smart to not get tested. That's their right. That's also a perfect example of "natural selection" working to keep our species strong and SMART!...... So rant about that, Dorthyzee. Thanks for making my point.

Yet another ploy of the pharmaceutical co.'s to sell their drugs or worthless vaccines. People that don't research on their own don't know any better become dutiful victims to this scam on society. Take their drugs for one disease and develop a new one and take another drug to treat that. Many of these newer drugs also cause diabetes. Hormones and antibiotics in milk cause obesity. High fructose corn syrup causes obesity and liver damage.

Are they assuming that most baby-boomers have either injected drugs or had blood transfusions?
