Did the study include women who were factor 5 positive? Its a gentic mutation that predispositions you to getting blood clots. I found myself at the age of 29 a healthy fit non smoker on the ring who got a dvt. I think women who are factor 5 positive should be informed of these risks. Had I known of the copper IUD I might have avoided this medical mishap.
