New Guidelines Issued for Severe Lupus

i have a friend with lupus nephritis.. she is in hospital for more than two months now.. she was intubated for the first time due to lung bleeding.. she survive that.. just this week she was intubated again electively due to pleural effusion.. her doctor said her kidneys are fine and still working well.. due to infection her doctor said that is why this happened.. please help us to understand more about her situation and her survival rate.. she has low wbc and platelete by the way.. thank you
