U.S. Sees Tripling of Babies Born Addicted to Painkillers

The Drug Enforcement Agency would have you believe that escalating their drug war is the best way to fix this unhappy situation. But it's not.

The best way is to spread the word, as this article does, and add more dire warnings to the labels on opiates, the same way we try to minimize fetal alcohol syndrome. The DEA is sensitive to the tarnished image of the drug war and need a pretext to stay in business. This is a good way. In effect they hide behind the skirts of young women and the relatively gentle people who deal with the disaster of their anti-drug policies.
