Michael Cook when with Joe Christ also a another Wicked Corrupt St. Clair County Judge while at the Cook Hunting Lodge in Illinois Joe Christ died of Cocaine Overdose March 2013.

Secondhand smoke, third hand smoke both impact everyone, physically and financially. Having a partial ban in a building (similar to smoking sections in a resturant), is like having a "peeing section in a pool". You are all going to be impacted. You think my comment to be inaapropriate? This is inappropriate: Allowing and industry that we all are intelligent enough (today) to realize that it actually kills people, it cost everyone extra health cost and there's no real positive benefit coming from it, (other than money, that most of us do not get). The public will could demand a total ban on using tobacco unless we (they) find an alternative for its use. I just love how we continue be bombarded with information that we already know. It's time to speak about the real issues of this deadly industry. And for all of you who still think as a smoker, it's not your concern. You pay the most! The secondhand smoke isn't filtered! you get the worst part! And as long as we continue to addict our children, (Yep, most smokers begin before the legal age) we'll have adult smokers on the way to continue draining our economy. It would be nice to see a giant fall for a change.

Tobacco use is still most prevalent among lower income individuals. Many of those affected by second hand smoke receive housing support. The US government continues to pour billions of dollars in to subsidized housing units where these unhealthy conditions exist. This is a true case of public policy supporting social injustice. HUD needs to add one condition to its list of requirements for receipt of housing support: the multi-unit facility must be 100% smoke-free.

If cooking, toilet, smoke, and other odors can penetrate the firewalls, building inspectors should be brought in to correct the code violations.

I am a non smoker who has been diagnosed with emphysema and Coronary Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. (COPD) since I have lived in my apartment for the past 4 -5 years. I have a letter from my physician stating that it is injurious to my health to remain in my apartment because of the second hand smoke I am breathing in from surrounding tenants, and should be released from my lease to live in healthier conditions but my landlord will not honor it. I have called the housing authority, several attorneys, and have no success from them. I even wrote to the Attorney General for help in my situation, which is life threatening to all who come in contact with second hand smoke. I hope to get a law of healthy habitability functioning on the books. I would appreciate any help to achieve this goal.
