Young Living Essential Oils DOES NOT have additives, which break down oils. They are pure and if kept in a cool location, void of sunlight, they keep for a very long time. Reseach, outside the United States, has shown some tremendous results. Do your reseach before using any product.

Wow! The YL people came out of the woodwork for this article. Perhaps the writer of this article should have consulted one of the many fine YL distributors located around the world. They're even in Peru now.

I'm a massage therapist and use YL oils every day in my practice. Clients love them.

But Young Livng Essental Ols are rated by a French Company. If they do not pass the test for potency and safety, they are not sold!

Absolutely! It is the esential oils on store shelves that are suspect as they can contain toooooxic substances and the FDA not not require labeling to ID these substances.

Young Living Essential Oils, however, are not suspect. They are consistently safe...strong, if used undiluted with vegetable oil....follow the directions on the product itself.

Let's have an article in a national magazine on the healings using Young Living Essential Oils....Patricia in St. Louis, MO

Although I agree that aromatherapy is beneficial to many, I do not agree with the writer's warnings. Instead, a distinction should have been made that, like anything else you buy, there are differences in quality. Young Living essential oils are safe to inhale, apply to the skin or ingest. They are 100% therapeutic grade and their constituents are such that they do not degrade. They do not have fillers or adulterants that are found in store-bought oils. Historically, essential oils have been used in healing for thousands of years, well before we had allopathic doctors. I hope readers, and writers, will dig deeper when doing their research.

I love the liver concern, we shouldn't fear YL Essential Oils, but fear the big pharm companies and what they do to our liver.

kathy of WI 5:03PM May 10, 2012

Quote from the article: "Some essential oils can accumulate in the liver," Meulman said. "For example, eucalyptus is broken down slowly by the body and tends to accumulate in the liver. If used daily in large amounts, within a few weeks a person can experience signs of toxicity due to this buildup."

What is considered "large amounts"?
