DUH! More of same from stupid ignorant Americans. Basically, as usual, want something for nothing. Or, want many services but don't want to pay for them

Not surprising....the American patient wants their appointment today, their MRI tomorrow, and their surgery the next day, and not have to pay for any of it.

Not all that surprising.....people want the costs cut but for it not to affect THEIR benefits. Medicare premiums are already means tested, and the Medicare tax goes to infinity of income unlike the Social Security tax. What is amusing is that everyone now realizes that fee for service is a "toxic incentive". There are ways to control unnecessary care by practice guidelines and pre-procedure authorizations. Ethical and honest doctors control costs every day. Even the public can help by sharing some of the cost. Just wait until the public accesses a system where the fee is divorced from the service. There are examples of that all around us and I do not want to be there. I prefer to deal with institutions where there is an emphasis on service as part of the cost. I consider those maybe more expensive but a great value. When the government tries to micromanage, things get harder to get, poorer quality, and MORE EXPENSIVE.
