Here comes another generation with unexplained illnesses , and syndromes . Currently 1 in 100 births are now afflicted with autism , and nearly another 1 in 100 new borns with Downs Syndrome . While too many in our country are making a whole bunch of noise about the affects of a long term budget deficit on their children and grandchildren . Perhaps they are again missing the boat . If their children and grand children are born afflicted with one issue or the other . They may not even be coherent enough to even know what a dollar is , let alone a defecit . No amount of cominants or toxins in seafood is "acceptable" .

If you don't think the gov't would allow potentially unsafe seafood products to be sold to protect certain businesses that are being paid off, you are living in a fantasy land.

How sad, sounds like most don't have faith in what the FDA says, I have always wondered how much they get paid off---along with the EPA!!!!

Gulf seafood is not safe and the poor ignorant people from Louisiana other states that consume it will find this out when cancer rates sky rocket in 10 years. The seafood industry is a multi billion dollar industry that be can't be shut down for long periods of time. The government will publish anything for this industry to continue producing, this includes results that Louisiana seafood is safe to consume.

It really doesn't take an expert to realize the contamination is still in existence, there are marsh areas that are visibly changed and articles still being published today about fish caught with open soars and strange markings. Lets not be stupid here. By the way I was born in Louisiana and love seafood just as much as anyone born and raised there, but my point is the people are being taken advantage of, I mean can you really trust these studies that say the seafood is safe to eat. Do you know for sure.

There you go, ladies and gentlemen. Federal officials have said it is safe. Thus, it must be so. :)

Since the massive oil spill I have not eaten nor will I eat anything that that is taken from the Gulf waters. Does anyone really know how far the oil spill has spread throughout the entire Atlantic Ocean and is it safe to eat seafood taken out of the southern portion of these waters, not just the Gulf area. If you trust the gov`t agencies to tell the truth about such matters then your faith is much greater than mine.

So if the the FDA says it's safe, it must be true! Are these the same people that allowed "pink slime" to be added to McDonalds' hamburgers and school lunches across the country? Shame on anyone who believes this corrupt agency's findings after all of the products they've had to recall after giving their "approval".
