Use of Ecstasy, Speed by Teens Tied to Later Depression

What a tremendously irresponsible report by Mr. Mozes! Risk? There is no risk documented! Incidence maybe. "Tied to depression... however didn't show cause and effect?" This is a NON-story! Reminiscent of the "Prozac shows increased risk of suicide!" Oh yeah, depression = Prozac = suicide. Take the Prozac out of that equation.

Study co-author Jean-Sebastien Fallu says "but researchers have advanced two possible mechanisms"... "that these drugs have a neurotoxic affect on serotonin [hormone] levels involved in mood control. Or that the mood of those who choose to use these drugs is affected by the social ties and influences that come with affiliating with other users, who may have their own issues and mood problems."

This is not a researcher. This is a speculator!

The "host of experts" responses should have informed the author and he could have better spent his time.
