Olmesartan is an ARB, not an ACE inhibitor.

The National Kidney Foundation recommends and advocates for screening of populations at risk for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in contrast to widespread or mass screening. Screening, detection and treatment does benefit those with diabetes and high blood pressure --the major CKD risk factors. Certain treatments can slow the progression of the disease making early detection a priority.

Its great to have this site that suggest on how to prevent kidney disease. However, its sad to know that early monitoring or screening of kidney disease isn't helpful. If you want to know more about kidney disease here's a link http://diseasedietcentral.com/

When I worked out a treatment using high-dose ACE inhibition to prevent 90% of dialysis 15 yrs ago, the VA fired me. I'm so glad the VA is coming around to what I discovered 15 yrs ago. For the full story, please see: http://trishatorrey.com/2008/05/06/conspiracy-theories-reversing-kidney-disease-and-personalized-medicine/. And please note: not all ACE inhibitors and ARBs work.
