Researchers Map Brain Regions Linked to Intelligence

All on the "left"? That's an error right? Seems like so to me as it would have been more emphasized/elaborated on if it were that specific. Did they not find enough subjects with right brain injuries?

It strikes me that Luria did this about 100 years ago although, obviously, he didn't have the benefit of CT scans. However, I would think there is some difficulty in generalizing from a damaged system to an intact system, especially with regard to a fairly nebulous concept such as intelligence and especially given what we now know about brain plasticity. I would be more impressed if some dynamic imaging was being used. Although CT scans can are able to pick up focal damage, they are known to be relatively poor at picking up diffuse axonal impairment either surrounding the focal injury or distributed elsewhere through things like the initial shock of the injury. At same time, a study of this magnitude is bound to give us some valuable insight if the data are handled well.
