1. I think it is unethical for a doctor to make such comments when the patient, who is an outstanding American, is still in the hospital!

2. Why should the age make a difference? About what kind of return Mr. Caplan says? What is a measure of the "return"?

3. Are any other criteria considered such as gender or race?

1. It is absolutely unethical for a doctor to make such comments when the patient, who is an outstanding American, is still in the hospital! It's a shame, doctor!

2. Why should the age make the difference?

3. What will be the next criteria suggested? Gender (Women usually live longer, let's first help them)? Race (H-m-m! I'm afraid to share any ideas here...)
