For me, having epilepsy, holds me back from doing lots of things. I don't need people too, so for any one who thinks its a joking matter; putting medicine into my body every day to keep me going & have a VNS. I do because I have to not just because!

If I could work, safely, I'd be happy too!

people with epilepsy should "speak out"? yes because that will make a difference. Its movies and shows that make fun of it so of course people will make fun of it too. People know it uncontrolable, they jsut dont care, and think its funny. Even if you say its painful, they will still think its funny. People just like to laugh at it, they like to laugh at the convulsions, they KNOW you cant control it but they just dont care. There should be more media defending this, it should be on tv, obviously people dont care that much about it. There r more anti-racism commercials then epilepsy info commercials. Its not even about "info", people dont laugh at others that have cancer or other disorders. its the convulsions that make everyone poke fun.
