I think this article, especially the title, is misleading. The survey found that the modalities, including dietary interventions, utilized by CKD and non-CKD participants were similar. There is no report that this correlated with worsened kidney function in those individuals with CKD. Low protein diets have been recommended for people with CKD for years. It simply found that people aren't following recommendations.
