More Kidney Dialysis Is Better, Research Finds

As a pre-dialysis CKD patient, I am stunned that more are not doing In-Home. My Nephrologist actively told me it was the best option in my case. Of course, he's always been aware that I want to keep working after I start, but I felt he also wanted the best for me. So my plan is excluxively doing in home hemodialysis. Another factor is the mortality rate in my town's only clinic. He said it was too high putting me at too much risk for not survivng the first year. I feel, like "Fistula First" there should be an active campaign for "Home Dialysis First". Many more patients could continue contributing to their families, communities and society as a whole. It doesn't take a lot of research to find some of the greatest contributors in our society have been dialysis patients.
