Autism is not a mental disorder. It's a metabolic disorder affecting every organ in the body. The children suffer from such things as oxidative stress, immune dysfunction,inflammatory bowel disease, and encephalopathy.
As far as this silly study goes, all I can say is DUh now.

It's amazing that time and money is spent on this type of research. Tens of thousands of parents of autistic kids have known this for years.
Scientists who have no clue what causes autism, how to effectively treat it, how to cure it, or how to prevent it, have just discovered autistic kids like video games and TV. It's hard to see how this qualifies as news.
