Antibiotics Don't Help Most Sinus Infections, Study Finds

In acute sinusitis the nasal cilia that normally move bacteria out of the nose slow down, allowing for secondary infection. Things that speed nasal cilia include tea, lemon and honey. Must be green or black tea, with or without caffeine, and at least eight glasses a day. There speed the cilia, thin the mucus and help the body's resistance. Humming is another factor to speed slow cilia.

Good sleep is very important. If infection develops, pulsatile irrigation at a speed harmonious to normal cilia speed removes bacteria and restores good cilia action.
