Here in the "Bible Belt" of the USA so many of the local hicks view Tai Chi as anti-God and anti-Jesus and a ferin' religion and condemn it to the point it is difficult to find folks who view it otherwise and even harder to find those who use it merely as a form of exercise!!!
With decades of California living I am used to a horde of Tai Chi practitioners out and about.
I was finally forced to depart my home state due to the horrid social and economic woes us working-poor socio-economic class folks had to contend with daily thanks to a deluge of ahem "visitors" from the south who harmed us culturally, socially, economically, etc.
Departing California I re-entered the USA.
Wealth and being higher-up the pyramid-shapers socio-economic hierarchy allows one and family to escape/evade the horrors too many of the "guests" bring with them.
Likely why they remain.
Sigh....
Despite the many negatives of being surrounded by so many closed-minded to-me delusional brainwashed locals at least I am not shot at or beaten for merely being a Gringo or, at times, depending upon where I was living... for being a despised USA citizen.
Behaviors that not all "visitors" exhibit but enough to make life dangerous.
Doubt me?
Go live where I did and at that socio-economic level.
