Nail Guns Often Sold Without Safety Advice: Study

Are there going to regulate nail guns like fire arms? Are we going to have to get a permit from the sheriff before we are allowed to buy one? Will felons be forbidden from owning one?

I upholstered furniture using a staple gun. Yes, firing approximately one million staples per year; I have shot my fingers and hands. It happens! As with any type of tool there is always the possibility to have and accident.

Oh yea, just because it is called a gun, it does not mean that it shoots like a fire arm. Whenever I shoot my staple or nail gun in the air the staple/nail can go about 25 feet. I have seen movies where nail guns are portrayed to shoot with the velocity of a firearm. That is B.S.
