I always have gotten hives from the cold...also, have exzema in my older years. It comes from my paternal side...and some of my grandchildren have the same condition. I am originally from Pgh., PA My background is mostly German, Swiss. I now live in Tennessee....I am 72 now and the exzema is troublesome. I take an antihistamine daily to control the itching.

I know there's no cure; for an autoimmune disease. Been to allergists, and an endrochonolist (sp?)...Do not want to be on steroids forever, so I treat the symptoms.

Generally I do not post on articles, but I would like to say that this blog really forced me to do so. Your post is rocking and knowledgeable. I really appreciate the way you write. I would like to read more from you. Certainly such a really nice blog.

I hope they develop a cure very soon. My hives are driving me mad and I can't have immunoglobulin shots forever.
