these guys spent $50k to perform same analysis that a company by the name of 23andMe does for $400. I know, I did it and they look at similar markers that are available for diseases such as prostate cancer, type II diabetes, parkinsons, etc...

This makes the unjustified assumption that an individual's DNA does not change throughout a lifetime due to envirnomental agents. The agent of particular malevolence is CWD bacteria. If all the basic assumptions were true, you would think that progress would be faster, so these very basic assumptions must be challanged.

This could only be helpful in a health care system where everybody pays the same regardless of health or pre-existing conditions. Otherwise the risk for abuse outweighs the benefits. Knowledge is power, and we should have it, but the only people who should be allowed to act on it are a patient and their doctor.
