its lies

By the way, hormone and antibiotic free meat doesn't keep as long, so it has to be consumed ASAP after purchase to avoid illness.

Perhaps that's Nature's way of also reminding us humans that most of a healthy and safe diet should revolve around less animal protein.

It certainly wouldn't hurt, though many are just never going to go full-blown vegetarian. And besides, Omega 3 (found in fish oil) is supposed to be very healthy, so why give up fish, right?

Of course, if you've opened your mouth about fish still being healthy, there's probably going to be some brand new epidemic related to fish, no doubt.

Next headline? Salmon flu?

Good grief. Salad is seeming mighty tasty all of a sudden.

I am not a fanatic about avoiding any and all forms of animal products because of these illnesses (if it's not a mammal, I will probably still eat it, as in fish or poultry), but there have been news stories about possible root causes of these illnesses in livestock.

Some reports have focused on the diet (all the antibiotics that are fed to the animals must pave the way for super-resistant bugs that can then jump to humans), and others focus on crowded conditions where the animals are housed.

What's hype versus truly unhealthy? No doubt, the antibiotics are problematic (even humans are advised to avoid overuse, just taking them if every really ill and in need of that extra help to fight off illness). But overcrowding? Not sure that's a problem if your livestock are healthy.

That said, this whole epidemic, following the bird flu scare that was previously in the news a few years back, is enough to make on actually consider going vegetarian!

White House spokesman Reid Cherlin---"The H1N1 is moving rapidly, as expected..."

"By the time regions or health-care systems

recognize they are becoming overburdened, they need to implement disaster plans quickly,"

If this is such a potential disaster, why didn't the government plan better & deliver the number vaccines by mid-October like they said they would. The reported number of vaccines delivered varies, but it appears to only be 30-45% of what the government said they would have available by now.

Do you want these people in charge of a government-run healthcare program? Is there any reason to believe they could be more efficient at it than private insurers?

Its not the Swine flu that kill but the co-infection with antibiotic resistant bacteria that kill. Please don't think we are crying wolf!!

A new report from the American Academy of Microbiology begins: "The struggle against antibiotic resistance is a war we will never win. The strength of trillions upon trillions of microorganisms, combined with the ancient force of evolution ... will inevitably overpower our drugs."

This isnt the swine flu's first rodeo, back in the 70's we got hit with swine flu and our medical capabilities were nothing compared to today. Also if you look at the past, the swine flu peaked in October anyway.. consider this comparison http://stroseo.com/swine-flu .. im pretty sure we didnt need to declare a national emergency at least not yet, but better safe than sorry i guess,

On May 2, 2009, during a weekly address to the people, Obama stated:

“We will also continue investing in every resource necessary to treat this virus and prevent a wider outbreak. The good news is that the current strain of H1N1 can be defeated by a course of antiviral treatment that we already have on hand. We began this week with 50 million courses of this treatment in the Strategic National Stockpile. Over the course of the last few days, we have delivered one-quarter of that stockpile to states so that they are prepared to treat anyone who is infected with this virus. We then purchased an additional thirteen million treatments to refill our strategic stockpile.”

According to a memorandum written September 30, 2009 by Kathleen Sebilius, http://www.opm.gov/pandemic/memos/h1n1_20090930.asp , the vaccination wasn’t approved by the FDA until September 15, 2009. It was stated, at that time, that the vaccinations would not become available until the next week (October 7th)

The first offering was to be to government employees. She stated for the first two or three weeks, there would be a “limited supply” available to the public. (Through October 21st, approximately) Specific limited doses will be given first to high risk groups and specific target groups. She stated, thereafter, the vaccine will be manufactured and then available to all.

Target groups included pregnant women, children 6 mo to 24 years (6 months to four years if there are only limited supplies), persons under age 64 (or age 18 if there are only limited supplies) who have medical conditions that put them at risk and persons who care for infants. It was stated in her memorandum the target groups are approximately 160 million persons with 42 million at high risk.

Clearly, none of what Obama stated was true, nor what Sebilius stated on September 30th, was true. According to the CDC website, Supply and Distribution, http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/vaccination/vaccinesupply.htm

only 14,070,900 tests have been allocated to date.

This is a far cry from the fifty million Obama claimed was stockpiled on May 2, 2009.

Only 12,533,000 have been ordered, again a far cry from Obama’s statement today that the government is prepared and fifty million vaccines will arrive in November. They weren’t even ordered as of October 17, 2009.

It is clear Obama lied and is still lying to the people of the United States about the government being prepared for this epidemic. It is anticipated 30,000 to 90,000 people will die, mostly children.

This is nothing more than a socialist attack on the flu! Obama wants to use the H1N1 vaccine to spread socialism! Wake up Morans!
