The term "genetic code" applies to how nucleotide codons are translated into proteins. What you mean is genome sequence. For example, the genetic code for all vertebrates is the same, but they all have different genome sequences. Viruses use a different genetic code than vertebrates, but its only a little different.

There is a very simple reason that humans are the only specie to talk (and are roaring down the highway to extinction):
There are so many liars bilking as many people as possible that they would be far better off if they did not talk.
For some three thousand years now, influenza has been transmitted primarily by the yeast in fresh bread. This is HOW IT IS TRANSMITTED, NOT how it can or might be transmitted.
It is stuff that kills by the millions and we would all be far better off without.
