Health care is not a right,, it may come under pursuit of happiness. Employed people pay into Medicare, and SSA.Owners of businesses also pay into Medicare and SSA. If I was taught history right FDR thought the SS money would be sacrosanct and never touched for anything else, what happened? Is the Federal Govt going to match these payments to stabilize the outgoing money for health care? In the late 40's, Health Care was taught in the 7th and 8th grade, "Home Health" --where is this now--? Instead of running to the ED
or Dr. as we do now, soak that swollen ankle and elevate, like grandma did.

Why not work on education so people can get a job and have there own health insurance. I do not have a job, my wife has very good health insurance that is in jepordy right now because we are sending so much money to health care that we are nelecting education.. eg.. her job.. if we get the kids out of the street and look at the underlying issues, we will seee that if our kids are educated, there are jobs to have, we don't need our government to supply us with health care, we can do it ourselves.

are we to become the U.S.S.A.? the united socialist states of America? it seems that we have taken one more large step towards it. has our government ever been larger? i still have hope that the voting public will wake up and ignore the party or color of the politician and vote for a person who stands for something.
does anyone remember the campaign promises of transparency? of no earmarks? of line by line scrutiny??? what a joke!!! wake up America! before America is gone.

We are now just finally providing our citizens with guaranteed basic health care when the vast majority of other "modern" countries have had this type of system in place for years. And don't tell me how much they dislike their systems; if the people in these countries hate their health care systems so much then why aren't they using private insurance companies? If you want the true facts, travel to these countries and ask the people how they feel about their health care systems. They will tell you that while these systems are not perfect, at least they never have to worry about not having the money to pay for basic health services or getting "cleaned out" when something extraordinary happens. The importance of health care for all is no different than the importance of education for all, and I am sure that many of those whom are complaining about the government involvement in health care must have attended publicly funded schools. Guaranteed health care and guaranteed education should be part of what America offers to all our citizens. It is simply in everyone's best interest to have a healthy and educated populace.

I understand how the majority of the people feel , but a lot can blame there self they let OBAMA sweet talk them into election him He is a very very good speaker and I guess that,s what we as people base a judgement on not their record So now we will pay unless we wake up in November vote the bums out Do not give up even when you make mistakes This county is Great and so are the people Don,t you get tired of this government not listening to us the people TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY

This is only done to help minorities and inner city people. WHY DON'T WE JUST START MAKING STUFF HERE AGAIN AND PENALIZE COMPANIES FOR SENDING WORK OVERSEAS, MAINLY CHINA, TO GET THINGS BUILT HERE. IF WE HAD JOBS HERE, WE WOULD HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE. Just like the Democrats, give out money to many people that don't want to work for it. Just like they enjoy handing out money to illegal immigrants and non citizens to go to college here. Absolutely ridiculous. We have to be the dumbest country on the planet.

Why are my taxes rising? To keep the overweight, drug (caffeine, tobacco, meth, etc.) abusers alive longer. Forget that. Health care is not a necessity. It is a luxury of working diligently throughout one's life to better one's self. People who want to live and procreate need to prove that they worthy first. The government should illegalize tobacco use. people are obviously not capabale of controlling their habits. Oh wait... that would mean less money in the the man's pocket. Controlling healthcare is not about helping the people. It's about making money that 'may' be used to pay down our national debt.
