I'm Kevin.I would like to share my exprience with all the members.
I was diagnosed with Herpes 3 years ago, 3 months after my divorce was final. I know I should've used protection and I didn't, it only took one person to get herpes, I was craving that intimacy and closeness after being married for such a long time, and had sex with someone I barely knew.I was devasted and in denial when I first found out, not only I had to deal with a nasty divorce but with the thought of being by myself for the rest of my life. I remember joining this website stdloving,c0m and thinking that I wasn't like the people here, so I left.
Finally,Irealized that I was totally wrong. So I'm back and I feel stronger with the friends on stdloving.com, I am who I am, a loving and caring woman, I love my job and my children, I have a happy and fulfill life.
So, it does get better!
Advice to other members:
I went through counseling for 2 years because of my divorce, however it has helped me realize that I can still be happy and I could probably find someone who would love me for who I am, because I am a great person!

I have to say its hard for me to believe I have got hiv. But how can I do now, its truth. I cried for a few weeks. I can find myself from then on.. my GF left me. I felt so alone in my life. My family gave me a lot of supports , but I can got through. 2 months ago, my friend told me a hiv supporting site, its stdloving.com , so I check it out, I find a lot of friends with hiv there. What important is that I found my new GF there , she is hiv positive, when I chated with her , I could find a lot of happiness, im not alone anymore , a kind girl will come to my lift and share my happiness and sadness. So I want to share this site to more hiv friends , hope u can find what u want there.-----kevin

You sound like a very caring and compassionate christian. Victims of rape and infidelity would certainly appreciate your archaic perspective.
People have sex. People in the bible had sex.
I do not support promiscuity, and I do support waiting to engage in sexual relations when your relationship is sound.
Respect your body and respect a quality relationship, yes.
But judging people on this condition and other STDs creates roadblocks for progress. This is a good example of what is wrong with our society.
You may not love me for having herpes, but Jesus still does.

I have just donated to the Dr. Bloom's website. I feel that the global health organizations and governments haven't put much effort into Herpes cure research because they have never considered Herpes as a serious health issue. In addition, Herpes has had so much social stigma. In the old days, people who suffer from Herpes were just silent suffers and rarely spoke up to voice their needs for a cure or they didn’t know how to connect with others to do so.
Now with the development of internet worldwide, we Herpes suffers all over the world can work together to bring a CURE closer. We can voice our needs for a cure by our endless effort in supporting the scientists and their research through donations. I think soon we will see way better treatment than just the suppressive medicines available in the market. It will be something that can reduce the viral load and severity of the illness or for the best scenario it will disable the virus and its ability from replicating in our bodies and infecting others to cause any additional emotional and physical pains to our future generations.
A huge applause to those who founded the Herpes Cure Coalition and all the scientists who are working diligently to help us find a Cure and end this ordeal for mankind. With such a momentum and dedication from scientists all over the world, especially those in the United States like Dr. Bloom, we will make history and find our cure, not in 30, 20, or 10 years but hopefully in 5 years. Let's support HCC and Dr. Bloom's research!!
On behalf of the 45 millions of Herpes suffers in the world, we want to say THANK YOU to Dr. Bloom, Dr. Cullen, Dr. KNIPE, and HCC!!

Just want to add to the "refdm of VA" comment;
The correct address to David Blooms research donation site at the University of Florida is
Please folks, donate. Dr Bloom only needs another $37900 to be able to do some pre-clinical testing and, cut short, qualify for further funding from the University of Florida.
If we all help a little, it will go a long way. Thank you

My dear friends. It is very interesting that the more sex partners the higher the rate. From the beginning of creation God created one man and one women in a monogamous relationship. If each and every person waited to have sex before marriage (the Master's plan) then they would be marrying those who have never had sex before and not have and STD. Total abstinence before marriage and sex only within a marriage relationship is the answer to lower and do away with STD's

Did you know there are researchers out there who have the technology for a potential Herpes cure?
Please check out the Herpes Cure Coalition (HCC) website. Our mission is to aid researchers with funding and support who are the closest to a Herpes Cure. We achieve this mission by forming a Coalition of individuals and websites across the globe.
