Me& my wife were downstairs watching tv and we heard this loud crash,i jumped up and ran upstairs to see my dresser was toppled face down on the carpet and my son was hiding in his room,i asked him what happened? he pulled one of the draws out to use it as a step and as soon as he did that it gave way and fell over,he didnt get hurt THANK GOD but he could of been killed instantly.i gave him a lecture on not climbing on furniture as i told him he could of been underneath the dresser and crushed to death as the dresser probably weighs about 300 lbs with all my items in it.another near dearh experience with my son: we were foster parents and had this little girl staying with us she was 6 years old at the time, same age as my son, they were playing upstairs in my sons bedroom and they opened the window and took the screen off trying to be funny well my son was sitting on the ledge with the screen off and the girl pushed him out the 2nd story window,i was working at the time when my wife called me frantically i rushed home and the only thing wrong with my son was he had a little cut on his cheek,we took him to the hospital to have him checked out and everything was normal.....thank god.....well least to say we now have safety locks on all the windows on the upper level, dont know why i didnt have them at the time of the incident, guess a little mistake like that (not having safety locks) on the windows could of caused my little boys death.he is a very, very lucky boy.i think i put the scare in him about climbing on furniture.hopefully he learned something about this incident....

You can fix a hole in the wall. But a heart with a hole is not fix able. So I know this all to well lost of our only daughter Emily. She was killed by our tv stand gave way. Letting the tv fall on her. She was not climbing or play with it. she was walking by. That next day she was to go to Disney World. A trip she never got to go. I miss her daily. So please dont think this cant happen to you. Your wrong. It can happen to any one.

It is good to write about this topic. Families need to be protected.
