Supreme Court Rejects Limits on Drug-Injury Lawsuits

The reason drugs are so expensive in this country is because of lobbying, kickbacks, payoffs and the fifty percent of their revenue which they spend on needless advertising and marketing their drugs to try to get every single person popping pills which they already have insured they would get every last dollar for by preventing importation of drugs. This is the same as every other business that operates in this country and should be treated as such.

They want a free market economy (the best they can buy) until they get sued Then they want to blame the government for approving it. I don' feel bad at all. That's the way it goes.

But maybe this would have been a good time to consider that the anti-nausia effects of medical marijuana would have done a much better/safer job.

The big drug companies have forever made billions and billions of dollars from people who need medications. Even if there were no lawsuits, these companies would find a way to bilk us out of money! This is a great way to hold these drug companies responsible for their products. What needs to be done now, is regulation about how much these companies can charge for medications! Doctors should not be authorized kick-backs for prescribing these drugs to patient neither. People are suffering because the amount of money doctors and pharma companies are making. There should definitely be more regulation. As far as frivolous law suits go, I don't think this one was one of those cases. If you lost your hand, would you just suck it up? I don't think so!

I think I will sue over....well anything. It appears that it is the only way to get ahead in this country considering our slide into Socialism. Why should I work when I can use the courts to make money.

If you investigate the facts you will find that litigation and compensating injured parties is a minor expense for drug companies. I am sure that the amount needed to compensate the injured is less than their stupid advertising campaigns. Don't buy the lawsuit abuse BS. By the way, losing your hand and fighting through the court system all the way to the Supreme Court is hardly a "quick dollar."

It means higher insurance rates, higher drug costs, more money for lawyers. I don't think I have see a worse decision in a long time.

This decision is an important victory for advocates of the right to access information. As the National Coalition Against Censorship Executive Director Joan Bertin writes: "When the government can’t, or doesn’t collect, vital health and safety information, there are a few other ways to obtain it. Private litigation is one. Thanks to the Supreme Court, this kind of self-help is still an option."

This is a clasic example why drugs are so expensive in this country. An administration error is automatically the drug company's fault. There are plenty of warnings on drugs. If the nurses follow the drug companies direction and read warnings, this would have never happend. This lady should have sued the practice or hospital that actually did this, not the drug company. Americans are hurting themselves with these stupid lawsuits. Another person looking for a quick dollar.
