Does anyone know of a good law firm in Southern California who will take up litigation against the manufacturers of these transvaginal mesh products?

Darvocet has been a life saver for me. I have taken it for years with no side affects. I am 83 1/2 years old and am a specialized teacher. With all my years as a teacher, having gained so much knowledge and ability, am I to be shut down at this fruitful time of my live? I cannot believe the reliable pain killer that enabled me to function has been taken off the market after 50 successful years. My doctor than prescribed Ultram, which was unsuccessful for me years ago, and I had no alternative. Perhaps I would get better results this time? No, I didn't! I love to smile and hate to complain but now I smile less and complain more! I pray Davocet will be restored to the market so I can finish my years dying with my boots on!

This article is an insult REALLY an insult to people with chronic pain. Spare me the psycho-babble.. psychology is a made up NON-science that has no place in society. People who work in this field are more screwed up in the head than any other people group! Pulllleease...

The "testing" that was done was dubious at best. The result, treat chronic pain sufferers as if they are "mental" or "addicts" or worse, unproductive members of society that need to be weeded out.

If you didn't like Darvon or darvacet.. too bad.. millions were finding new life taking a low dose narcotic that kept them functioning and interacting with society.. now those of us who are suffer out here are at a loss, while you smugly tell us "it's bad for you", get into the mental health system so we can label you and control you. I hate all of you who did this to us.

I firmly agree with the above statements. You should all have to suffer a little pain and see what it feels like. You have tied the doctors hands in keeping their patients comfortable. What is the deal? My mother was in a nursing home with copd and was very hard to handle. A new medication came out that made her sleep a good nights sleep and was very wide eyed and felt good in the mornings. Guess what, a committee came in and declared that the medication was hallucinary. What difference did it make, she was never comfortable again and we all suffered 3 years more.

I have taken davorcet for 2 or more years, (only)2 a day and have been out of pain that I couldn't handle for the first time in my life. I have fibromyalgia and neuritis and days I couldn't even do anything. Oh yes, I am 77 yers old. Why would you do this to old people when it really works for them?

I agree with VaGeorge and Dan S.- And this drug has helped many people KEEP functioning as opposed to having to be bed ridden, going on disability. Pain specialists will tell you if a MEDICINE is helping you to be MORE productive and involved in life, it is not being abused. It is when people with NO pain take it for fun that it is abused. A few years ago they were going after ALL pain meds, wanting them off the market and docs stoppped prescribing to people, causing MUCH suffering unnecessarily. Then a few months back they start complaining about acetaminophen, stating THAT is why Darvocet needs to come off the market, suddenly now its the Propoxyphene, not the acetamin? Why all the revisionist history from the fascists who want people to be in pain? Just like they want them poor, powerless etc- the disabled are stigmatized and this type of hype and pseudoscience adds to it by robbing people of inexpensive effective resources. There are plenty of other TRULY dangerous meds- and even food additives- that they should deal with instead- or how about food contaminations, like that which killed so many pets a few yrs back? Public has a short memeory. FDA are out of control, bought out, to be exact.

Oh..only after 50 years do they remove it. The drug has profitted $100 billion dollars and the drug company deceided that was enough profit

The Druggies actually withdrew the drug NOT the FDA!

The FDA is a joke agency that is run by the drug makers

The same scam is happening with the Diabetes and Obesity drugs just google SPIRIT HAPPY DIET

I believe anyone that wants to recommend that a sufferer of chronic pain see a psychologist for relief should be required to have chronic pain for at least a year prior to making silly recommendations. I have had 3 back surgeries the last resulting in pedicule screws and rods installations now scar tissues have grown around the nerves and arthritis has set in. I have not had a day without pain since 1993 !. I have tried therapy and everything the doctors have suggested. I have to take pain medication just to be able to function in my daily routines. I am not addicted as I only take the medications when the pain is severe not for recreation ! Read the AMA reports that someone using pain medications for true pain rarely become addicted. There are days that I do not take any more than an ibuprofen or two but most days I do have to take pain medicine.

As far as physiological treatments, I have taken them for over 6 months. They do not work !! I thoroughly believe that the psychologist I was seeing had more problems than I did. I have been under the care of two at different times and they were a waste of money !

Darvocet stinks. Good riddance to this lousy drug! Why the FDA has been dragging their feet on this one over the years is beyond me. The next move should be good riddance to the FDA!

And...did Al Anderson, Minneapolis family practitioner and president of the American Academy of Pain Management board of directors, advocate jumping from Darvocet to Morphine, as the article suggests? I mean, prn Tylenol 650s are just as good...heck, even Ultracet or Vicoprofen/din is better!

Big mouthed psycologist and meally mouthed preachers really think their hypno nonse can deal whith the complicated physiology of pain: what power addicted egomaniacs they are!

Why don't they go doh pus ups on beds of red hot coals, or maybe red hor spikes- show us how it's done- Let them take a tape of their tedious prayers and relaxation exercises with them, and play it ad naueseum and see how it work for them as they groan in pain that would be funny.

This is the same old spirituallist nonsense that helped no one, except the preachers and psychologist filling their pockets and swelling their egos.

If I'm in pain give me something real- something with complicated organic molecules, not the fetid bad beath of charlatans.
