Not being able to work due to recent back surgery, I have NO income, but do have COBRA coverage, which costs me $580.00 per month. With no income, how am I supposed to be able to pay these premiums?!?!?!? They are wayyy to high for someone in my situation, that really needs health coverage! What other alternatives are there?

Amen to Doug from PA! We work hard for America..we deserve to get health insurance from a single source, not a thousand different plans with a million catch-22's.

....Congress had the guts to enact the same single payer health care plans that citizens of Canada, Great Britain, and every other industrialized nation have.

Put every US citizen on Medicare. Put private insurance out of business. It's a waste of time trying to put bandaids on something as fundamentally corrupt as the private insurance industry. They had their chance and they blew it....miserably.
