My husband was disagnosed with mitral valve prolapse on a Saturday evening and was operated on Monday morning. We did not have any time to research the surgery, but thankfully the skilled surgeon was able to repair his valve. In speaking with the surgeon right before the surgery he informed us that he can normally repair the valve in 90-95% of the surgeries, but wouldn't be able to know for sure until he got in there. We were one of the lucky ones. The surgery was done on April 18, 2011 so we are in the beginning of his recovery.

Good afternoon,my name is DESPINA STYLIANOPOULOU and i am from Greece.my mother 70, needs as the doctors say mitroid valve replacment but i was wondering whether there is the option of repair, and which is the center in Northern EUROPE that does such operations.
