Thanks for talking about us Gregg!

Let me add that we are looking for local market makers around the country so if you want to fix what ails the healthcare system in your neck of the woods, send as a note.

What iTunes (well, Napster really) did for musicians and Etsy did for skilled crafts people, we think FairCareMD.com can do for Physicians, Dentists, and Allied Health Professionals. If you are ready to help, we have the opportunity for you!

We now have Diagnostic lab tests in every zip code in America and are spreading to several new markets all over the country. Folks are saving up to 75% on the care they get though our site and Doctors are paid better than the average insurance company would have paid them. The system works and we welcome everyone to use it.

We think of it this way, you don't negotiate a plane ticket when you are at the gate or getting off the plane - so why would you do that with your healthcare. Made a deal ahead of time, we can help.

Thank you for reading and publishing this comment. Our DIY Healthcare Reform solution is rapidly changing how healthcare works in America and it is available for all!

Be Well,

Third party payment, whether private or governmental, has served to inflate the value of medical and hospital services beyond what may have been supported by true, unbridled market forces. By virtue of serving as a buffer between the physician and the patient, the traditional volume driven fee-for-services insurance model as enabled a pricing marketplace way out of balance with principles of 'fair value'. Witness what's happened in real estate valuation, and that story is still not over.

We've seen what one platform has accomplished in the airline industry, i.e., Priceline, why not apply similar dynamics to both the hospital and medical care sector? May not be a cure all, but certainly has the potential to influence and drive pricing equilibrium in the consumer directed health care market where big deductibles and discretionary spending of tax favored dollars is creating an increasingly value oriented consumer.

One such player is making inroads into this insular and opaque 'exchange relationship' is FairCareMD.com. An emerging marketplace where prices are set between the buyer (i.e., patient) and supplier (hospital and/or physician); and not by some third party's formula.

Primarily located in New York, their platform is soon to be launched throughout major markets in the US. One to watch!
