Retail Medical Clinics Offer Quality Care: Study

Not sure where this MD gets off saying that PA's and NP's will "miss diagnoses" if it's any more complex than a sore throat, but studies, even those done by MD's, continuously reinforce the fact that NP care is at least as good, if not better, than physician care. These studies span the spectrum of time and scope and cannot be refuted. The only reason to state differently is due to the fact that MDs are scared to recognize that a team based approach with collegial relationships (as all health care providers should have) as opposed to a supervisory one (as MDs want to get more $$$$ for their practices by hiring NPs and PAs) is most beneficial to the patient (better or equal patient care with more time spent by an NP and happier patients) and is the most cost effective model as well. The facts just do not support his view, plain and simple!
