There are many reasons why counselling can be a crucial component of dealing with obesity. Ava bring up part of it with instant gratification; I want to eat that and I want to eat it now and I don't care if it isn't healthy for me. And as the authors of the study say, in another few minutes or steps there will be more food right there for the taking.

For people who eat for emotional reasons, counselling can help identify and provide strategies to change the behaviour.

For people who are in denial of what is really involved in lasting weight loss, a nutritional counsellor may be more valuable. It does come down to burn more calories than you consume. Don't want to change what you consume? Then you need to burn more. It really is that simple. Almost everyone can find a way to move their body more, even though it might be uncomfortable or even painful to start. But it can be done.

It's just that the scary bits tend to come from the most progressive types on the left, and the most anti-progress ones on the right, so it's probably for the best that the pro-farmer sorts making the news are also the ones the least likely to hold forth on what they really think about Mexicans. ,

It has to be a lifestyle change for both food and activity. It goes beyond just handing a diet and exercise plan out and expecting people to want to change. It's not

possible to see the benefit in a two step process. I see two issues: the inexpensiveness and availabity of fast food and sedentary lifestyles. Actually I see a third issue and it's really a societal issue. We have An overwhelming need to have everything instantly. Weightloss is aongterm process. It's not going to happen in a day or a week. It's taken me nearly two years to lose 60 lb, accounting for 29 percent of my body weight. Although the height/weight charts say I'm overweight, Im only 23 percent body fat, which isn't too bad. I reaaly needed to se realistc expectations for weight loss which in hindsight was most of the battle.

I recommend eating healthy! I've seen so many overweight people, including myself, lately. I tend to eat late at night but I try and stay active throughout the day for the most part. I find most diets to be quite rediculous. Why pay for someone to tell me how much and what to eat? It's really not hard. Take care of your body and watch what you eat! I saw on Oprah and Dr. Oz about the new Acai berry diet so I tried it out. I won't lie, I really do feel Great! I've only been eating them for just over a week and I can say that I do see a positive change in my body figure as well. All things said I truly believe this is a fantastic new way to improve health and lose weight. I recommend at least reading up on this new health craze!
